Make Your Own Christmas Wreaths and Table Decorations

Whole Day Workshop with Kat 

There are several ways to make Christmas wreaths and decorations, depending on what you want to achieve.  This small and informal workshop is designed for beginners and will guide you step by step to make your own design.  Kat will introduce you to the best supply store in the region, and show you the various equipment and materials that are available.  Aisles full of baskets, vases and flower arranging wonders are a good start for an individual design.… if you wish you can buy material you like.   Back at the house, Kat will show you different methods of building wreaths, and you can then choose which method to use and make your own wreath.   After lunch, Kat will show you  how to make Christmas table decorations, and everyone can then make their own.  The session will wrap up with a “challenge of the day”.  Bring an unused vase, basket or something from your home, and we will identify a design idea using it.  If there is time at the end of the day you can make a start on the design at the workshop, or make it at home – and send us a picture!

Date: 28. November 2021 (if this course is full another date might be offered)

Price: £70  (for whole day including lunch and refreshment)

Group: 2-6 people (personal approach and guidance guaranteed).

Includes:  Lunch and afternoon refreshment, expertise of an experienced florist, equipment and materials (candles of different sizes and colours, greenery of different colours and textures, berries and dried fruit for decoration, ribbons of all colours, cones of different shapes and more)

Program:

10am Meeting at SIMS shop in town (parking at Sims is free, if you go to Sims on foot then transport to Bieldside with Kat).  Option to buy material for challenge of the day.

11.30am. Christmas Wreath making – door decorations, grave decorations or a centrepiece with candles.

1.00pm. Lunch 

1.30pm. Decorating Wreath

2.30pm. Candle Table Decoration – table centrepiece or for hearth

3.00pm. Afternoon Break – tea and coffees available as you go whole day

4.00pm Challenge of the day – bring an unused vase, container or something from your home

5 – 5.30pm Finish
